MOJO is an analogue saturation circuit that we developed to add harmonics, colour, and saturation to the preamp signal reminiscent of some of our favourite Transformer and Tube preamp designs (without using expensive Transformers and tubes themselves!).
When it's OFF, you experience Camden's groundbreaking clean performance, but turn MOJO ON, and you can get 3 unique flavours to enhance and colour your recordings.
Complete Transparency
With MOJO Off, you can experience award-winning preamp transparency and performance. Capture mic, line, and HI-Z instruments with elite-level detail without noise and distortion. With amazing, life-like transient response at all frequencies, Camden EC1 can effortlessly gain-up low-output dynamic or Ribbon mics or provide next-level detail with condenser microphones.

Transformer-Style Preamp Saturation
Switch MOJO to 'Thump' and Camden EC1 introduces saturation and harmonics modelled after vintage transformer-based equipment. Thump adds balanced even and odd harmonics for low-end weight as well as a high-end roll off that feels just like a classic transformer-based preamp.

Tube-Style Preamp Saturation
Switch MOJO to 'Cream' and Camden EC1 introduces saturation modelled after tube and valve-based equipment. Small amounts of Cream adds texture and a smooth edge onto the signal with primarily odd harmonics, mid-range smoothing, and dynamic saturation that sounds like a tube preamp driven hard!

How you capture your instrument is important! The right DI can make your Bass guitar sound finished before you touch a plug in! Camden EC1 has a unique BJT HI-Z Input design that is punchy and reactive under your fingers.
Reamping guitars? Camden EC1's Link output is a dry output of the Hi-Z circuit that allows you to send the DI signal to your guitar amp whilst recording the clean DI into your computer, ready for reamping later on!
With Camden EC1's built-in, 4-channel line mixer, you can monitor your preamp signal in realtime, zero-latency and blend it in with your DAW playback - perfect during vocal tracking to deliver your best performance.
Featuring the same reference-grade design developed for the 500R8 audio interface, Camden EC1's headphone amps deliver up to 1.2watts of clean power per ear and a flat frequency response from 5Hz to 70kHz - perfect for mixing and mastering.
